Highly regarded for his work with the famed Erköse Brothers, other Turkish
musicians and musicians from around the world, clarinet virtuoso Barbaros
Erköse is a celebrated master of Turkey's traditional fasil Roman (Gypsy)
music. The passion, finesse, and subtlety of his work never fail to move
audiences.
In this tour, the Barbaros Erköse Ensemble will present an array of Turkish
light classical fasil and urban music in the driving and fluid
improvisational style found among Roman urban musicians of Turkey. These
concerts will portray a captivating and exciting range of musical colors
from the Turkish urban landscape.
